These days I am learining first aid. People say that doctors are next to god. And it feels good to know the basic of the doctors job. Imagine you are home or hanging out with friends and suddenly there is some mishap and someone faints or gets a heart attack or there is some accident and the blood doesn’t seem to stop and you know what to do so that the situation doesn’t get worst, until you get the patient to the nearest hospital.

Today as we were practicing on a dummy model it gave a great pleasure to actually know what is our job and how you can save lifes.

The reason to write this post is not to tell you about my experience on first aid but to urge you to join this as well.  It is really important for us to know all these small things. Accidents don’t happen with a earlier notification, it just happens. Well then you have to know how to tackle it intelligently and help the patient to recover or atleast be in peace till he reaches the hospital.

You can also use it in a normal life like small wounds, cuts, or burns.

Well I guess, everyone should learn first aid. It really help and gives you great satisfaction.

How to give artificial respiration.

-         first check if the person is breathing or not.

-         Then check his pulse

-         If the breathing has stopped, then clean his mouth with a clean cloth.

-         Close his nose and give him mouth to mouth respiration

-         Then current ration of how to give the respiration is 2:15 ie give the repiration 2 times and then give the cardiac massage 15times

-         After giving the respiration, pump his chest in the middle 15times

-         If the person is still unconscious repeat the same thing again.

My Favorite poem.

Around the corner I have a friend,
In this great city that has no end,
Yet the days go by and weeks rush on,
And before I know it, a year is gone.
And I never see my old friend's face,
For life is a swift and terrible race,

He knows I like him just as well,
As in the days when I rang his bell.
And he rang mine but we were younger then,
And now we are busy, tired men.
Tired of playing a foolish game,
Tired of trying to make a name.
"Tomorrow" I say! "I will call on Jim
Just to show that I'm thinking of him."

But tomorrow comes and tomorrow goes,
And distance between us grows and grows.
Around the corner, yet miles away,
"Here's a telegram sir,"…. "Jim died today."

And that's what we get, and deserve in the end:
Around the corner, a vanished friend.

Quality > Quantity??? ( in a relationship )

It was almost 2 yrs back, there was this friend of mine who used to play for our school football team. They used to have their practice everyday evening, and his guy who I am talking about had never missed any practice until the day when he met this girl. Yeah! It was the same old fling that he had for her and she used hang out near the place where these people used to have their practice. So things began to get messy and one day another friend of mine asked me if I knew why he was skipping practices so often?.

I told her the reason. And all she said was tell him to watch high school musical. Well yeah, even I found no connection between the two topics initially, but when gave it a thought I got to know what she meant. Wasn’t it the same situation in the movie?? His basket ball practice and her scholastic competition together and yet they wanted time for each other.

People say that when a guy or a girl falls in love they change. They don’t care for their friends they don’t care for anything around except the love of their life. And this is generally said that the girl changes the guy with all her tantrums. What I believe is, Its really not how people change its just the way of how people are compatible with each other how they just understand each other and give importance for one another.

life is busy these days, and its really not easy to keep your loved once happy and give them the attention that they want. But all it takes is for you to learn how to manage things, how to manage your professional as well your personal life.

If you both are not able to spend time together often then there are soo many other small things that you can just do to make your partner feel better. Example – text him/her where he is or what he is doing or just one I love you will do wonders, or the next time you meet him/her get some chocolates or something that he/she likes, or a small gift ( for a girl, a rose or a ring will do the magic ),. Or just leave him/her a sweet love letter or a note in his/her bag or wallet just the place where your partner will find it easily when you are not around, you both can watch a movie together at your place holding each other cuddling with each other, or just a hug will do the magic in most of the time

Honestly, I believe its not how much time you spend with your partner its how you spend the time.

                        Quality > Quantity

Marriage

Marriage!!!

I had recently been to a family function few weeks back. After lunch all the relatives sat together for a short chat. It so happens that I happen to be the only girl in the family who will now turn to her so called “ marriageable age” rest all are either married or are two young to think about their marriage.

So everyone just started off, according to them as soon as I complete my graduation my mom should start hunting for guys to get me married. The thing is, why cant our elders take the marriage thing with a ease?? Why are they always in a hurry to get the girl in their house married. I know there are problems for the girl if she does not get married in her right age. I know she has to face many taunts and everything. But that is what we should change.

Cant a girl be given equal importance as a guy and allowed to earn some money and be independent why she has to be dependent on her man. And this so called marriageable age ie 25 to 30..why is that supposed to be there. This is where education matters, and this is where I feel west is the place to live. In India the child is dependent on their parents till his / her’s 30s. where as in west the child is independent on his 18th bday itself. So here is the calculation. In India, a person should get married by 25yrs of age so by his or her’s 30 they will have a child of approx 2 to 3 yrs of age. So by the time the parents turn 60 and get retired the child is around 30yrs of age. So the parents support their child till his 30th, and then as the parents turn 60 and get retired all the responsibilities of supporting the family comes on the childs shoulder and that is it. It will be his first job or just the starting, so the salary wont be much and then poverty will come in picture.  Whereas if there were more opportunities in here for children to start working as they get 18 this wont be the picture.

Another thing is, the idea of arrange marriage, you meet some complete  unknown guy, and then decide to get married to him. Without knowing much about his past his character his friends and family. Obviously when he is meeting you he will be at his best and wont show any bad side of him to you. But isn’t it important to know how he is in his day to day life? This is why I feel love marriage is better, like you know the guy very well you know how compatable you are with him.

And with the understanding between you too you both will support eachother as well.

Love marriage vs arrange marriage, this is one question that can never be solved it depends of individual thinking. But I belive education will play and important role in solving this question.

Age Diffrence!

I always belived that if u date someone elder to you, you will have differences in thoughts and views and also to some extend will be difficult to handle the relation. Then I met this guy. And he sort off made me feel that I was wrong and that even with a age difference the relationship can still work out.
But as it went on, it never workes. He was a bit shy type of a guy and was not at all romantic and all. I had seen many of my male friends who changed themselves for their better half’s and are now happy with them. I have even seen people be in a serious relationship for 3 to 4 yrs at a strech and are still going fine. So when I met this guy I initially let him do what he wants so he can feel comfortable and gave him his space, thinking once he is okay with the girlfriend thing he will be normal and be a normal boyfriend. But that never happened he started to take me for granted, his behaviour changed .
Why all guys have to think that they are the one to rule. They cnt respect for what their girls think. Nor do they show as if they care. What on earth is their problem?? I really don’t know, what I am writing right now. But it’s the only way I have to take the my anger out. Or I wish I just get a chance to bash those people who I hate!
Seriously all the guys who are reading this, please learn to respect your girl atleast sometimes in your life.

Memories

Being alone at home gives you much time to think about yourself, of what you want , your needs and your weekness. Since mom has gone out of town for a few days. I had enough time for myself which I generally don’t get when she is around.

I was watching mp3 ( mera pehle pehla pyaar ) a hindi movie about a girl and a boy and their love story. It made me think, we were the same when we were in our school. Those bets on silly things, and those dares and enjoying together in recess and free lectures.
I still remember those days, some of which I would love to share with you guys. It was in our classes we had lectures from 7 in the morning to 5 in the evening continuous. And we used to get a break of half and hour or smething, we were playing truth and dare and we dared a guy to go and ask an unknown girl her age. Lol… and he actually went and asked a passerby her age.
Another incident I remember was during the first day on diwali, and unfortunately we had our exams that day what we did was we decided to come to school a bit early in morning and a friend of mine brought “aapti bomb” and we were bursting crackers in the school no teacher came to know about it that time but later on the same day after the exams we tried our stunts and tried bigger bombs the teachers got to know, but no one knows who exactly did it till this day.
We had this thing in school, during winter we would wear sweaters in the morning but as the 2nd lecture get over we used to tie it around our waist, it was cool you know sport shoes, sweater tied up around your waist and the school dress used to be knee length. It used to look pretty.
Always used to sit on the last bench the whole group. During free lecture’s we me and a friend of mine used to go to the ground floor and spend time with our PT teachers, sakpal sir and parab teacher. Or sometimes go in computer lab and check orkut and chat with friends or sometimes when in really studious mood go to library and read some intresting books. In 9th or something there was this new gadget that was available “the mp3” that was now another option for us, during free lecture or even when the teacher is teaching we used listen to songs on the last bench.
We had Sanskrit in 7th, but the thing was the people who had took Sanskrit had to wait after the school for an hour the lectures were scheduled after the school hours. First 2 months were very intresting as we were learing a new language but later it was damn boring, it was fun to sneak out of the class without getting noticed. But we had to pay a high amount for that, we barely passed in that subject that year. Later we changed it to French. French was much cooler.
We had our French tuitions just after the school, so we all friends used to have our lunch together. I enjoyed that a lot.
Even during our recess, what we used to do is we had names or songs or some poetry or some shayari’s decided for everyone in the class, and yes how can I forget the teaseing with the bf/gf’s name or the crush was the most amazing part. We had 30mins recess, so we kept the first 10mins to eat you’re your lunch which almost the whole class used to share and eat, we used to share from each nook and corner of the class. And the rest 20 mins we used to sing songs, tease , call out names and just have fun together. Good thing was that no one ever took offence on that, it used to be just like a party everyone used to dance sing songs and the dance was on the top on the desk btw! :P
God and that talking on phone the whole time and sms’in every second and keep your friends updated with your minute to minute activities is the cutest part
Those were days, and I don’t think anything can replace that fun ever… I still love my school friends and I feel happy that I am still in contact with most of them. Thanks god!
If ever got a chance to go back to those days, I would love too….

Me Shivaji Raje Bhosle Boltoi

Me shivji raje bhosle boltoi, a new marathi movie released recently. It was houseful in the initial days and is still difficult to get tickets. With such a hot reception to the movie I expected it to be really nice. And my hopes were really high for it, though it did not fulfill my hopes to the fullest.
It showed a common Marathi man, who lives a normal life and the only earning man in the family of four. So obviously he is to face all the financial problems of the house. Well the story was good. But I guess they made the whole movie hypothetical.
I personally feel there was no need for shivaji maharaj to come in picture at all, I mean he hardly had any role, they could have just shown it in a different way like the hero is a follower of shivaji maharaj and takes lessons from his deeds and fight his way out of the problem. The graphics that they tried to show during the scene when shivaji maharaj rides on his horse and comes to the hero’s house looks absolutely fake. They were just trying to mix up “lage raho munnabhai”, “ rang de basanti”, and “ virudh” together.
The story was indeed good, but a bit more perfection in graphics and story board and yes, direction would have made a great effect!
