Flamingo Point, Sewri, Mumbai

After seeing innumerable posts about Flamingos in Sewri, I knew I had to go there. It’s not exactly far from where I live but still is one of the areas that I had never been to. Google maps gave me the exact location of where I needed to reach, thankful for that.

The place is secluded. It was a Saturday evening, I was expecting a lot many people there but there hardly were a few. There are fishermen boats around, and a big rustic ship ( I knew I wanted to go on the ship the moment I saw it ) bloggers, take note! Get a friend along to take pictures, you might end up with some really nice shots.

People are allowed at times on the ship, depending on the mood of the workers there. I suggest, give it a try. It’s just a rustic ship but you might end up getting good pictures and a better view at the flamingos.

Carry binoculars or a camera with good zoom. The flamingos are far off, but the locals told us that they are much closer in the morning ( you can try your luck )

I won’t say it is amazing but if you are looking for something different on a weekend, like I was, you can definitely  try going here.

The flamingos are here from November to March.
Like I mentioned that it is a secluded place, it would be easier if you had your own transport.
You can also catch a cab from Wadala or Parel station.

Organic Harvest Lip Balm - Quick Review

I recently started using the Organic Harvest Lip Balm in the Pomegranate flavor. The brand claims to be sans chemicals and developed to perfectly suit everybody.

Loved the packaging, it is unlike the daily lip balms that we use and I liked the new shape.

The lip balm is moisturising and did manage to keep my lips soft throughout the day. I don’t think I needed to reapply it more than twice in a day, maybe just a little bit after eating something.

The taste however wasn’t anything like Pomegranate. I didn’t like the taste, it tasted very chemicalish. I can’t really put a finger on it and tell you exactly what it tasted like though.

If you are looking for a lip balm that will keep your lips moisturisedthen this will work well for you, if you are able to manage the taste that is.

Organic Lips lip balm range comes in four variants – Pomegranate, Green Apple, Shea Butter, and Strawberry.

For where all love is

“For where all love is, the speaking is unnecessary”
— Diana Gabaldon

Just read this quote and although it sounds all nice I wonder why shouldn’t one say it? It’s love right? Wont it be just amazing if the opposite person knows that they are being loved? I have seen a lot of people hiding their feelings towards someone just out of the fear of rejection.

For me, the sooner the person tells me that they like me the better. Yes, I want that thrill of meeting someone and then slowly falling in love with them, the thrill of not knowing what’s happening, the thrill of wondering if he is going to tell me tonight, noticing the cute adorable little things that they do for you to show that they care etc. totally love all of that.

However after some time I just need to know what that person really feels for me. Is that too bad? Too needy?

I don’t care. It’s just better that way.

And if you are on the fence wondering if you should tell the person that you like them then jump off that fence and go to that person and tell them exactly how you feel.

And if they don’t feel the same for you then respect that, go back to real life and snap out of the fairy tale. Don’t forget though that there is a chance that they might reflect the same feelings as yours.

Café Universal

Had heard a lot about this place but as it is a little away from the general area I frequent, I never had a chance to visit this place. Until finally two weeks back went there with some office colleagues. The place isn’t very fancy but gives a very good vibe. Perfect for a lunch or an evening snack on a cozy winter day.

We started with some Veg spring rolls. The only reason we ordered this is because none of us had had spring rolls in a long time. We weren’t disappointed.

We also got steamed chicken wontons, which were very bland. The szechuan sauce also couldn’t help make it taste good.

Friend ordered wine, she liked it so I take her word for that.

The burger was amazing! Hug and filling!

We tried both vegetarian and non vegetarian burger. Although I am not a big fan of vegetarian burger, I still did like it.

The chicken burger was delicious! I had to share it with a friend. Couldn’t finish it alone.

I would give it 3 and a half stars out of 5
