Although I am not someone who has a very healthy lifestyle or food habits. I at least keep trying my best to do something healthy in my day, be it as small has opting not to eat chips and opting for a banana instead. I know you would say that it’s not enough, yes, I am aware of that but at least I avoided all those calories that the chips would have given me.
When it comes to dieting, losing weight or getting fit I am of a strong belief that it should be something which is natural and sustainable. If I am doing something and I know that I can’t do that for life then I would rather not do it. Like giving up certain food just so that I don’t get fat, thanks but no thanks, I won’t give up any food just so I can lose weight. The thought of giving up something for life is something I can’t take. Same goes for all the gyms and crash diets, the name says it all – CRASH DIET! It’s just going to CRASH you!
Look at our grandparents aren’t they healthy even now? A major reason for that is that they have had a lot of healthy food earlier in their life, when none of these junk food and fast food was around. We are so used to eating outside thanks to our busy schedule, lifestyle and a lot of other factors that we have really stopped making sure that we eat are daily intake of veggies and healthy food.
Healthy food helps in Weight Management, gives a lot of energy without making your feel drowsy, obviously the energy you get helps you get more work done, constipation and other digestion related issues are kept at bay, beautiful skin and overall health. Now I am sure that when we compare healthy and unhealthy food, healthy food wins! And wins with a big margin! And I am sure that you already knew that, then why do we succumb to unhealthy food? Is it the lack of motivation to eat healthy? Or is it that we don’t want to stay healthy? None of this right? Then what is it? I know I am asking too many questions but isn’t it time that we really figure out what is that that is pushing us towards unhealthy things? And what can we do to stop it?
You can

They have some amazing Honey recipes which would make sure that you eat healthy and nutritious food. They also have a calorie counter which is my favorite, what better way than to know how much calories you are eating.
I think you're right about diets having to be sustainable if they are to be effective. There's no point trying to give up a favorite food if it's going to cause a rebound a month later.
ReplyDeleteFunnily enough, I think I probably could get off eating chips and eating bananas instead. Those sliced, deep-fried banana chips covered in honey. Perhaps not the honey diet I should be eating. I'm afraid there may be no hope for me. :-(
