Cuddles

The warm hugs and sweet nothings whispered. The simple joy of just being in someone’s arms and knowing that there is no other place you both would rather wish of being. Maybe it won’t lead to nothing more than just lying in bed with each other hugging, kissing, laughing, teasing and talking. Knowing that someone loves and cares for you. Knowing that you can trust this person. The intimacy that two people share when they are just being silly and playful cannot really be compared to anything else.

And sometimes, that’s all that a gal needs.

“I knelt and locked the door. I locked the door locking the world and time outside. I stretched my body across the mattress and Saskia drew in close to me and placed her open hand on my chest, her mouth near my shoulder; her breath, my breath blew out the candle, and I held my lost Wanderess with tenderness until sweet sleep overcame us.”

Freedom Tree - For All The Furniture You Might Need

The best thing about home is that it reflects your style, taste and personality. There’s a reason why everyone says that there is no place like home. It just relaxes you in a moment, the place you are most comfortable at. I love to keep my house a reflection of my life, there are corners in my house which have tons of stories and memories. The moment I go there I am filled with nostalgia and I could just spend hours just sitting there and going through stuff, I actually do it at times on a lazy Sunday.
The other thing that I like are colours, and making the house look bright and fresh. They other day, I was researching online for affordable furniture and accessories that I could buy. The thing about buying furniture is the delivery process but when I checked out Freedom Tree  it just made the entire process seem so easy.

So Freedom Tree have tons of contemporary furniture, they are colourful, designer and stylish. The best thing is that they have your entire house covered, you can buy furniture for living room, dining room, kids study, bedroom, kitchen basically everything that one might need for their house.
I especially loved their bed covers, coffee tables, curtains, table lamps  and book shelves! I am sucker for books and when my cupboard started overflowing and there wasn’t just any more room for books I had to start using my mother’s cupboard and now even that is on the verge of overflowing. Mother has already started telling me to donate books or stop buying more.

Coming back to the topic at hand, I am listing down a few things that I absolutely loved, maybe you’ll like it too J or just go through the website and let me know what suits you best.

This Mandala cupboard is just so perfect, I love the carvings and the antic look that it has. The cabinet’s facade is hand carved in mango wood and lightly washed with white.

And these curtains will add just so much more vibrance to the room.

I just absolutely love how colour coordinated all of this is. I am glad that I can actually turn my house into a colour coordinated heaven with this site. They have things that go with each other and one can just pick a colour scheme and then buy things according to it.

Offbeat Weekend Plan - Heritage Bus Tour - KalaGhoda

Kala Ghoda Art Festival 2016 started last weekend. I made sure that I dragged a friend along for the Heritage Bus Tour. This was the third time that I went for the bus tour and I absolutely love it. It is an amazing experience to hop on to the Open deck bus and go for a nice one hour tour of South Mumbai.

The guide gives interesting information about the area. Even though I have lived in the city all my life, I didn’t know some of the facts that she told me.

If you are looking for something new to do on a lazy weekend and if you share the same enthusiasm and love for the city as I do then maybe this will be just the right thing to do for you.

Something interesting happened while I was waiting for my friend to reach.
They give one pass per person, and that person has to be physically present to collect the pass. As my friend was running late, I decided to go and wait in the line.
It was 5 minutes before they would start giving out the passes and my friend had still not reached. I requested an uncle who was asking for some information at the help desk to wait with me for five minutes and collect the pass for my friend. He agreed.

A small little thing for him but that made me so happy. They say Mumbai is too fast, always on a run. In reality, Mumbai does know when to stop, take a moment and make someone smile.

Things to keep in mind

The passes for the tickets are given out two hours before the bus ride.
Check the schedule and details online or at the helpdesk during the event.
People start queuing up at the helpdesk for the passes 45mins before the specified time, try and reach early and be ready to stand in the que.
The first 30 passes is upper deck. Try and get those passes.
Enjoy the ride Jand if you do go, let me know how did you like it.

Bamboo Tree Spaa, Khar - Review

After a super hectic month at work I really needed to relax and pamper myself and what better way to do that than treat myself with a spa treatment. Luckily, around the same time Playtag Media Service Pvt. LTD & Paprika Lab approached me for a Spa review. I knew this was exactly what I needed, I decided to go to Bamboo Tree Spaa in Khar. The name caught my attention along with their unique spa treatments, their signature bamboo tree spa was what I wanted to try.

Bamboo Massage is a 2000 years old treatment practiced in Egypt. It is an innovative style of massage therapy and bodywork that works on five elements of the body i.e. fire, earth, wood, water and metal.

The unique properties of bamboo are passed to the body to create healing, restoration and balance. It enhances blood circulation and aids in deep tissue healing, spasms, trigger points as well as the elimination of toxins. The Bamboo massage is an intense pressure massage, hence preferred by the female clients.

Upon reaching the Spaa,  they welcomed me with a delicious green tea. The massage room was calming, clean and had an immediate relaxing effect on me. They also have a shower and steam room to relax in post the massage. They also provided me with disposable innerwear and a bathrobe to change into. The masseuse was friendly thus making me feel comfortable in a second. The massage was very relaxing and I couldn’t help but wish that it just never got over. She registered my tension points and worked in a way that relaxed me. The aromatic oils were doing their work as well. After the initial massage she started with the actual bamboo and the effect was like no other. The warm bamboo really has a therapeutic effect on you.

After the relaxing one hour twenty minutes massage, I stepped into the hot shower.

I also tried their Dr. Fish Therapy and Reflexology.

Although I was skeptical about the hygiene quotient of the Dr. Fish Therapy, the co-owner assured me that the tank is cleaned at regular intervals with special UV filters that keeps it germ free and clean. The fact that each client’s have their feet cleaned before dipping them in the tank helped calm my apprehensions. My feet were cleaned and I was all set to enter the tank. I won’t lie, I was a little scared at first. The moment I dipped my feet the fishes surrounded and started nibbling. It was a fun, ticking feeling.

You can’t really see a visible difference after the therapy, like the way you do after a pedicure but rest assured the garrarufa fishies are doing their job and your feet are clean and more hygienic and free of dead skin.

I also opted for 20 minutes of feet Reflexology to pamper my tired feet. That was amazing to say the least. The masseuse knew the exact pressure points and I was in feet heaven immediately.

I also happen to speak to the owner who was nice enough to provide a quick tour of the spaa, have a look -
